Johannes Bircher has completed his professional formation at the University of Zürich, and his postgraduate education at the Mayo Clinic and the University of Zürich. Then he worked at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology of the University of Bern, at the Black Lion Hos-pital in Addis Ababa and at the University of Gottingen before he became dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Witten/Herdecke. Now he is retired. He published 253 papers partly in high ranking scientific journals, and seven books.
Kirsten Nielsen has been Graduated from The University of Southern Denmark with the PhD thesis “Learning nursing skills in clinical training mediated by ePortfolio”
and from The University of Aarhus, Denmark as a Master in Science of Nursing with the thesis “Learning of competencies in the classroom”. She is employed
as a senior lecturer, programme coordinator, and researcher in The School of Nursing, Campus Holstebro, where she coordinates the Nursing Programme and
continues research into the area of learning.
Lisa M. Selby is a registered nurse and Simmons University graduate-level student in the family nurse practitioner program with an anticipated graduation date of August, 2020. A nurse of 11 years, she has gained clinical expertise in a variety of specialties across the lifespan, though has developed a passion and excitement in the fields of wellness and obesity medicine over the past couple of years. She is currently an integral member of the clinical team at MountainView Wellness and Weight Loss Clinic in Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States, where she has led research development and dissemination.
Fatima Akkawi is a Senior Charge Nurse/ Nurse Educator/ Leadership and Education from University of Sharjah & Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She is proficient in administering policies and procedures related to the patient safety in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation, managing activities associated with new procedures and competencies. She is a Recipient of multiple senior management appreciations for consistently rendering superior quality service across professional career.
